Welcome to "What to Expect"
To many sites hide from their customers the prices and steps it takes to create a Website.
At “My Philly Site” we beleive in Transparancy so you know what to expect.
Step 0:
Congratulations! You are doing Step 0!
Explore our Website, this is your first taste with our work. Before you Contact us, look around.
Explore our Plans. We focus on 3 types of Websties: WordPress Website (Like this one), Blogs (Where you make your own Posts), and E-Commerce (Where you sell Products Online). Each of these 3 types has 3 Levels: Standard, Advanced, and Premium. Standard has the least features and lowest price to Premium has the most features and the highest Price. (Don’t worry our Prices are still cheaper than our competitors).

Step 1: Consultation
This first step is where you meet with our sales team and pick your Plan and Design. It sounds simple, and it is, but there are several steps you should be aware of.
When, Where, and How
When are you free to talk? Planning a website, should not be a quick talk. “My Philly Site” wants to build you a great site and to do that we need to know more information. Setting up a time to talk, several times in fact will help streamline the process.
Where would you like to meet? Do you prefer to meet in person at a coffee show or over a web call? Figuring out where you are comfortable to discuss your site is an important step. (For safety reasons we do not meet in people’s homes)
How can we help you? Sometimes life is crazy. If something happens, let us know. We can always reschedule.
Pick a Plan
During our consultation we will iron out what plan and which add-ons you want. Tell us what you want and need and we will match you with the plan that fits. First select the WordPress, Blog, or E-Commerce plan. Next, tell us what you want the website to have and we can figure out how many webpages you will need. (Total pages are the easiest way to pick a level)
We will go over the Features that each plan covers, and then talk about Add-Ons you would like to have.
We offer 1 or 3-Year Plans with different prices. Our team will go over the prices and charge types for each plan so you know what you will pay.
Outline your Website
Now that we know what type of plan you want we can discuss the finner details about your plan. We will:
- Pick a Domain Name - This will be the URL or Web Address
- Pick a Theme - We have several pre-built templates for you to choose from
- Plan your Pages - Figure out what kinds, and how many pages your site will need
- Set a Design - What Colors, Logo, or Style would you like for your site
Sign & Pay
After we have created the plan for your website, there are only 2 steps left. Within 48 hours you will be sent a Contract and an Invoice that covers what we have agreed upon.
The Contract will cover the services, payments, dates, and other details discussed above.
The Invoice will be for Half the Initial cost quoted in the contract. Half will be charged now, the rest on completion.
After signing and paying, “My Philly Site” will get to work.
Step 2: Design
In the next step, we build your website. This normally takes 6 – 8 Weeks.
Plan
Each Page must be planned out, with your impute and ideas. (Don’t worry you can be hands-on or off as you desire) Submit paragraphs or pictures to give your website a personal touch.
You are the expert on what you want your site to say or be, we just build it for you.
Build
After the planning is done we get to work building. We will design and put together the text and images in the style you chose.
At this point everything is still in flux and can be re-dirrected or even deleted as you see fit.
Repeat
At your schedule (Every couple of days to a week) we will show you our progress and you can review us.
Tell us what to change or if you approve. You get to see the progress of your site.
When you are satisfied we repeat the process till your site meets your standards.
Step 3: Launch
Where your website goes from a dream to a reality.
Approve
Before we launch we will have 1 final review. We will go over the website, and review any special features. If you purchased an E-Commerce or Blog site we will also start your training now or at a later date of your choice.
Pay
An invoice with the remaining half of the Start-up price will be sent. Please pay the remainder, and we can move one to the last part.
Live
Now our Designer will click the Launch button on your site and you will be live.
